Once filling the inset canister with Nu-Flame, use a long-handled lighter or match to ignite the flame near the surface of the liquid.

Yes!  Prior to selling Nu-Flame bio-ethanol, we used to recommend buying rubbing alcohol separately for fuel.  If you prefer this option, we recommend using only 70% or 91% isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. You may already have this in your home! 

However keep in mind that rubbing alcohol is more likely to produce black residue along you metal canister and the top of the concrete bowl. This is not a safety concern.

No! This is the beauty of using Nu-Flame for Pyro Fire Bowls.  It's smoke-free and generates only trace amounts of water vapor and carbon dioxide.

When filling the Fire Bowl up the recommended max height (1" from the top), the flame should last about 30 - 40 minutes.  Once your flame runs out, you are free to refill for a second round!

We bet that the majority of the time you will just wait until the Nu-Flame has completely burned out from the bowl to end your session. However if you would like to put out the flame prior to the fuel burning out, you can simple bring out the included metal extinguishing cap and set it over the top of the bowl. The flame should cease immediately but always double check. So easy right?!

Yes! This is where the function of the Pyro Fire Bowls + Nu-Flame really gets taken to a new level. While the most popular use is roasting marshmallows for S'mores nights inside, you also could use it to cook other common campfire foods like hot dogs, bread, bacon, etc. Just make sure you have a nonflammable plate nearby to rest the food. Also note that though the Fire Bowls themselves will not generate smoke, food that catches fire certainly will. Just be aware if you are cooking near sprinkler heads or smoke alarms.
